You had a "Kundalini Awakening" - Now what?
Jul 08, 2026
If you are reading this, your world is likely shifting. Maybe you have experienced sudden physical sensations - twitching, fluttering, heat, or electricity moving through you.
Maybe you already had the energy rising to the top of your head, bringing spiritual realizations and the total bliss of being home.
A spontaneous Kundalini awakening is a beautiful upgrade, but let’s be honest: the process can be intense and challenging.
When your energetic system undergoes this massive shift, it takes a toll on your physical body and nervous system. And you might suddenly have spiritual realizations that you didn't even know were part of the human experience.
Having navigated this path myself since 2022, I want to share 7 grounded, no-nonsense tips that will make the process easier:
1. Stop pushing your body
When my awakening started in 2022, I was quite fit and refused to listen to my body because I wanted to stay that way. I kept pushing through daily workouts despite my body telling me to stop. It led to severe exhaustion that took over a year to heal from. Your physical vessel is undergoing an intense process - don’t force it, and listen to its needs.
2. Give the energy 1 dedicated hour a day
If you don't give the energy space to move, it may disrupt your daily life or wake you up at night. Dedicate one hour a day to let it work through you. Start with a gentle yoga session, then lie down in Shavasana with some music of your choice and let the energy flow - an inner dance journey.
3. Protect yourself from outer noise
Your nervous system is wide open right now. For a long time, I couldn't even step into shopping centers or airports because the chaotic environments drained me completely. Try to spend more time in solitude and actively turn off the external noise. Care for yourself as you would for a newborn baby.
4. Actively ground yourself
Because the energy pushes upward, you will easily feel dizzy or detached. Bring the energy down by walking barefoot on the earth, taking salt baths, and eating dense, heavy foods. Spending time with animals is also very grounding if you have that opportunity.
5. Write down your insights daily
An awakening brings a massive flood of sudden clarity and downloads. Take a few minutes every day to journal. It helps you process what you are moving through in the moment, and becomes a beautiful map to look back on.
6. Surrender to the ego death
The beautiful bliss-stage of an awakening is usually short, lasting only a few weeks. I wish I would have been prepared for the next phase: the ego death (often called the Dark Night of the Soul—though it's not the soul, but rather the ego that dies). You will have to face your shadows and unhealed wounds, and it may be painful, but the more you surrender, the easier it gets. This is where Step 5 of the RisingFem guide becomes incredibly helpful to navigate this phase.
7. Practice surrender and trust the journey
It sounds like a cliché, but it's the truth. Resistance is what might make this process painful and long. Trust that this is for your highest good and surrender to letting go of whatever starts to cause friction: identities, opinions, beliefs, people, and places. The more you trust and surrender, the easier it gets.
The Rising Feminine
When I created The RisingFem Guide, I designed Steps 1–4 as the essential foundation to heal from toxic relationships. While Step 5 was specifically built for this exact moment: to prepare you for and guide you through a Kundalini awakening - or what I personally prefer to call the awakening of the Sacred Feminine or your Primordial Feminine Power.
Today, I am the guide I wish I had back in 2022 when this part of my journey started and I hope this post helps you.
